Weekly Photo Challenge: Unfocused

Slightly blurred picture of a traditional tanjore-dancing-doll taken during the “Navarathri” in my house .Navarathri is a 9 day festival in India .People especially in South India exhibit an array of dolls ,called “Golu” in their houses. This particular doll is quite old and my favourite one 🙂

Can’t tell for sure from picture, is this a clay doll or wooden? I have seen similar ones (wooden) from Rajasthan too. Do you have a name for this one? 🙂

  2. A beautiful, mesmerizing doll. I do wish to see images of the festival. Must be fun and colorful. An exciting entry. Thank you.
